About Bob

What About Bob?

I have a unique and wide-ranging set of knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences around teaching, training, coaching, and leadership development. My role as a firefighter and fire department Lieutenant demonstrates my ability to lead people under high-pressure and high-risk operations. Much of that role, especially as a Washington State Fire Academy Instructor, was focused on personnel training and development.

I have extensive management-level experience and my master’s degrees in emergency and disaster management and psychology (with a focus on learning in the workplace) also add to my capabilities in training and development in the workplace.

I have also written two books, hold a US Patent, have written coursework in operational risk management, and was decorated by the Kent Fire Department for demonstrating courage and bravery beyond the call of duty.

I have a deep and lifelong passion for helping people through my work as a consulting psychologist, to apply ideas and principles based on science in the most practical way possible. I hope to talk further with you about how I might contribute to you and your organization’s growth and success.
